In-Home Mental Health Therapist
The Regeneration Project, LLC- Group Therapy Practice – Baltimore, MD

Description:
In-Home Therapist are responsible for the provision of comprehensive clinical, social and case management services to the consumers and their families in their natural settings.
Regeneration Therapist have the option to provide services in the main office upon the consumer and/or families request.

Clinical Services include:
-individual, family, group therapies
-crisis intervention
-advocacy
-assessment
-planning,
-discharge planning,
-intra/interdisciplinary teamwork
-community liaison within the limits of privileging.

Therapists are responsible for formulating and implementing appropriate treatment strategies for consumers and their families on their assigned caseload and for timely and satisfactory documentation of all treatment efforts.

The Therapist adheres to standards and regulations as set forth by the agency, the respective licensing board and COMAR. The Therapist are expected to abide by all safety rules and regulations of the department and facility.

Therapist also perform other duties as needed to achieve program goals and objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The Therapist must have demonstrated the capacity and experience to service the assigned consumer population. The Therapist will possess knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses as defined by the American Psychiatric Association, assessment, human development, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. The Therapist will demonstrate competency in psycho-social assessments, treatment planning, advocacy skills, and case management skills. The Therapist must have the ability to function on an interdisciplinary treatment team through excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills. The Therapist will demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to serving a culturally diverse and/or special needs population while respecting consumer confidentiality.

Education and Experience:
Mental Health Professional licensed by the state of Maryland. Experience as required by the credentialing process.
LCSW-C, or LCPC required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, climb, ascend and descend stairs, balance, taste, and smell. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Geographical Service Areas:
Therapists travel across the greater Baltimore area, Harford and Howard Counties.
Compensation:
Therapists are reimbursed on a fee for service agreement which allows for a flexible schedule.

Clinical Supervisor I Rehabilitation Specialist

ESSENTIAL  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administration I Management

  • Assure that the quality of rehabilitation services are maintained through individual and group supervision.
  • Assure that performance reviews are completed annually for staff under direct supervision, including establishing  specific, individual professional development goals.
  • Insure that clinical records are accurate, current, and meet Medical Assistance standards and licensing regulations
  • Review all reports of suspected abuse or neglect of vulnerable adults or minors and assure that appropriate actions are taken. Inform Director if reports involve alleged maltreatment  by  staff, students, or volunteers.
  • Assure that a quality improvement program  is implemented.
  • Review all incident reports. Consider actions to be taken and implement changes to avoid similar incidents  in the future.
  • Inform the Executive Director in a timely manner of all relevant political , financial, clinical, and liability issues and make recommendations for any changes  in procedures.
  • Insure the building  and property is clean and well maintained.
  • Develop and revise program  policies  and procedures.
  • Participate in internal and external  committees and management team meetings.

Clinical Services

Provide the following services to consumer’s:

  • Information and referral to consumer’s and community resources
  • Intake  interviews  and admission paperwork.
  • Crisis intervention.
  • Coordinate  admissions  and discharges of clients.
  • Develop  and implement  family  education services.
  • Consult with consumer’s case manager, Treatment Director, Office Manager, or Financial Director when clinical concerns interface with a client’s inability to pay for services.
  • Provide consultation and support to staff as needed including being available for staff to debrief about difficult situations.
  • Provide back-up clinical care to consumer’s when assigned  staff are unavailable.
  • Facilitate resident council meetings and group education or counseling with consumer’s.
  • Share a regular rotation providing after hours on-call supervision of organization  wide clinical services.

Consultation and Education

  • Provide consultation about clinical and administrative issues to other resources as requested.
  • Provide educational training and information to the families and friends of consumer’s and to the general public as needed.
  • Provide leadership about in-service training offered to staff, assuring that is meets licensure standards and clinical needs.

Planning  and Community Organizing

  • Use good judgment  and maintain effective boundaries when sharing  information about company with county staff, other providers, and members of the community.
  • Attend various community meetings and report relevant information to the Executive Director.
  • Participate in and actively support community advisory committees.
  • Participate in community needs assessments.
  • Implement and maintain a variety of procedures to evaluate programs  and services.
  • Be available to offer leadership and cooperation to consumers and community providers in the development of cost effective services.

Supervision:  Reports to the Executive Director

Supervisory Responsibilities:   Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of program.
